The Music Icon Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser

Charli XCX is getting ready for a major big screen appearance in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, the artist embodies what she calls as a twisted version of herself.

It’s the truest representation of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, Charli commented.

She elaborated in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration originated from the pressure to make one.

The debut trailer, unveiled on Thursday, combines authentic footage from her recent tour with made-up off-stage interactions.

The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who revealed that the story revolves around a reality where the artist made entirely different choices throughout the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.
