The Brazilian star Offers Regret to Real Madrid Devotees
Vinicius Jr has registered 5 finishes in ten Spanish league appearances this season.
The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his reaction when taken off in the recent fiery Clasico clash win.
The Brazilian was replaced in the second half and displayed his frustration by heading directly down the tunnel.
He later returned to the dugout and, after his side's narrow triumph, attempted to approach Barça's Lamine Yamal during contentious post-match exchanges.
"This day I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was replaced in the Clasico," the player shared on his account.
"Similarly to I have said in person during this morning's training, I would like to say sorry once more to my team-mates, the team, and the president.
"Sometimes fervor takes over me because I always want to win and assist my club. My winning mentality originates in the affection I hold for this club and all it stands for."
The player moved to the Spanish capital from Flamengo in recent years for a significant fee and has scored over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.
But his career in the La Liga is unclear with speculation in the past few months indicating that the club would think about letting the young star move on if they were to receive a suitable offer.
When he was taken off on the match day, broadcast footage from network Dazn recorded him stating: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I depart, I'm moving on."
In his new statement on the platform, the athlete commented: "I commit to keep striving every second for the good of Los Blancos, as I have performed since the first day."
