New England matched their best victory streak since the Brady period as they overcame AFC East rivals the New York Jets 27-14 in professional football
Rookie Henderson was the standout with three touchdowns as the Patriots claimed an eight-game winning streak for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's final season with the team in 2019

Victory bolsters the Patriots advantage at the summit of the AFC East as they advanced to nine victories against two losses, with the New York at the foot after falling to two victories and eight defeats
The opposing team had scored first at their home field with quarterback Fields running in a five-yard touchdown to conclude the New York's first possession
But the Patriots fought back in the second period as the rookie rushed for two seven-yard touchdowns before the running back hauled in a throw from Maye at the rear of the end zone halfway into the third quarter to push the score to 21 to 7
"It was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been excellent for him to keep earning playing time," Maye said of the rookie. "He aims to be outstanding."
