Alarming Video Captures Moment Police Get Knifed in Ambush
A police sergeant that leaped to the aid of a colleague who was ambushed by a knifeman has been awarded the King's Commendation for Bravery.
Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against 27-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he held a weapon to the neck of his partner Sergeant Marc Foster.
Brown began the violence as the policemen and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were talking to a driver subsequent to a vehicle incident in that location in mid-2023.
Brown attacked with blade both Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a stun gun.

PC Wolstencroft drew his Taser and awaited a clear shot, ending the confrontation to an end.
Sergeant Ansell was heard stating: "Can I get help on my throat now, I've been stabbed in the neck."
Sergeant Ansell received two open wounds to his throat and additional cuts to his limbs and torso, whereas Sergeant Foster received cut injuries.
