News coverage about the alleged stolen remains generated social media responses, and although Kai was not identified in the posts, his parent said people "knew it was him".

Isolation and Worry
His mother said her son "became isolated" after the detention and "would keep asking me whether I had heard anything from the authorities", because his condition meant sometimes "a minute could feel like days".
When she spoke to him about the alleged burglary, she said her son told her he had gone into the house because the woman who resided there had said he could utilize the bathroom anytime he needed, but refuted removing anything.
Digital Harassment
In a joint statement between her and her spouse, Mrs Lloyd said her child was being bullied online after the accusations.
The proceedings heard that a young adult urged the teenager to end his life.
She had no worries on the night before he passed away, explaining how she had listened to him "chuckling and joking".
She portrayed him as a "compassionate, loving" young man, and said her "family is totally devastated".
He had been "obviously hiding his worries", she stated, adding that he could not stand to have anybody "think bad of him".

The hearing received testimony from educational personnel at Connah's Quay secondary school.
On November 8th, she "heard some students discussing that Kai had been detained and that was the initial I heard".
"He told me... he'd done nothing wrong," she added.
After the conversation, the staff member said she called the family's parents' telephone and provided a message saying she had spoken to the student about the accusations.
