A Pair of Suspects Accused for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.

Watkins, 48 years old, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
